Management of a translation project

  • Step 1

Preliminary meeting with the clients in order to outline the typology of the text to be processed, its function, the use that will be made of the translation and the delivery deadlines.

  • Step 2

Analysis of the text to be translated in terms of volume, time and price, in order to formulate a specific offer.

  • Step 3

Once the offer has been formulated, we ask the client for possible terminological glossaries in the languages required, so that the translation can be the closest to the acquired terminology.
In the event that the client cannot provide such documentation, Dragomanno will elaborate a specific customized glossary.

  • Step 4

Formation of a specific team for the project, made up of translators and proofreaders that will carry out the whole translating process.
The work will be divided among the in-house translators or it will be outsourced to external specialised free-lancers, according to the needs of each different sector.

  • Step 5

After careful research into style, standard and characteristics of corresponding documents in the target language, the actual translation and localisation process can start.
At the end of the work, the terminological glossary used by the translator will be completed and archived for future use in order to guarantee uniformity in future works.

  • Step 6

Once the translation is finished, we carry out a quality control by referring to the UNI EN ISO 9002 and UNI 10574 standards.
The proofreaders then correct any possible grammatical, terminological, syntactical and lexical mistakes so that the end translation is of the highest quality.

  • Step 7

Once the text is translated and thoroughly proofread, it can be formatted using the software application chosen by the client and saved according to their request (electronically, digitally or on paper). Before being delivered to the client, it is then edited internally for the last time to detect and correct any possible format mistakes.
